C.S.R.(Citizen for Safe Roads) To help the people, a project is launched by which citizens are enlisted. The call themselves as Citizen for Safe Roads. Traffic police require more and more such citizens for roads. The should be above the age of 18. Even retired people who are willing to devote an hour or two preferable in the evening between 5 PM and 8 PM are quite welcome.
Those who are wishing for of helping the traffic police can approach the traffic police station nearest to their residence. They can fill in the enrollment form available there. If you are enlisted, you can obtain a kit, containing a cap, hand band , whistle and a book containing instructions.
You can spend an hour or two preferable in the evening at every traffic junctions and regulate the traffic, after taking suitable instructions from the standing constable or Sub Inspector of Police, Traffic. Even otherwise, if you see a traffic jam, you can identify yourself and help the traffic in clearing the jam. This is purely a social service. No emoluments, no pay. This is purely voluntary. If you are sincere, you will definitely have job satisfaction. You should be prepared to receive good and bad reaction not only from the road users but sometimes from the police themselves. You have to take a decision.
Besides Enforcement, Engineering, Education, traffic police strongly believe in fourth "E", Enlisting the co-operation of people in the regulation of traffic.
