We live in a complex world where just common sense is not enouth to see us through. We are forced to face situation that post threat to us in the areas where the number of vehicles and the road users are on the increase. The existing infrastructure namely the road, bridges and subways are not sufficient to cope up with the increase in their usage. We cannot turn that clock back and make traffic simple again.

Instead, we can learn the rules of this new complex game and practice them to overcome that hurdles which will ensure safety for us when we use the roads. With these objectives in view the Tamilnadu Traffic Wardens Organisation has assumed the responsibility of dissemination ROAD SAFETY EDUCATION to the school children through ROAD SAFETY PATROL UNITS.

ROAD SAFETY PATROL prepares the young cadets against accident and introduces them to practice caution in the activities that tend to cause accidents through education. They became knowledge in ROAD SAFETY RULES AND METHODS. With their practice and conduct, they prevent accident. In this process the accident may be totally avoided or at best reduced.

ROAD SAFETY EDUCATION is an education in responsibility to one self and to the community as a whole for ensuring safety for all road users. The education imparted in the ROAD SAFETY PATROL UNITS held our cadets to deal with traffic. Safety on Road in a combined responsibility of all road users, as safety is a matter of humanism , morality and sensitivity.
